Successful Applicants for IBD Nurses Fund

2011 Round 2 (closing date: 8th October 2011)

Shire would like to congratulate the latest successful applicants to the Shire Innovation Fund for IBD Nurses. The successful applicants are:

Anne Hurst (Aintree University Hospital, Liverpool)
Received funding for her project to produce an IBD Service Information Pack to help maintain a patient centred service via patient education and support for new and current patients in her trust.
 

2011 Round 1 (closing date: 3rd May 2011)

Shire would like to congratulate the latest successful applicants to the Shire Innovation Fund
for IBD Nurses. The successful applicants are:

Lorna Perry (Musgrove Hospital Taunton & Somerset NHS Trust)
Awarded funding to attend the Level 3 IBD Module course at King's College London,
and to develop a business case for providing an Expert Patient Programme for patients
with IBD.

Paul Madigan (Whiston Hospital, Prescot)
Received a grant to set up an IBD Patient Panel.

Vikki Garrick (Royal Hospital for Sick Children)
Awarded a grant to present her abstract 'Specialist Nurse and Dietician Care Pathway for Exclusive Enteral Nutrition in Paediatric Crohn’s Disease’ at the European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAM) Conference.

Sue Dunster (Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust)
Received funding for her project on Motivational Interviewing in Clinical Practice.
